Dear Friends,

As you probably know Deflux has been used successfully since early 1990’s to treat kids with vesico ureteral reflux (VUR) as well as those with incontinence. Although being an excellent non-permanent biomaterial with CE mark also for SUI, it has so far not been widely marketed for this indication. However, Deflux is now being launched also for treatment of SUI among adults.  

 

Why consider Deflux when there are plenty of useful methods and products on the market?

×          Deflux may help patients who still leak after surgery, or those not suitable for surgical intervention.

×          Deflux is not a permanent implant

×          Deflux is injected with cystoscope under full vision

×          Deflux has ”tons of” published evidence relating to the substance; there is substantial evidence relating to SUI

Who is suitable for Deflux SUI?

×          Women who prefer a minimally invasive option

×          Women not suitable for a general anesthetic

×          Women with residual incontinence post a surgical procedure such as sling insertion

×          Women of child-bearing age
